According to USA Today, about 2.2. million homes were in foreclosure at the end of January 2011. It is further predicted this the run of foreclosures will last at least two more years. However, it is absolutely critical that we develop tools that get foreclosures out of the hands of banks and back into the marketplace and into the hands of credit-worthy and responsible homeowners. Toward that end, I have been working diligently over the last two years to develop a methodology by which to raise private capital to partner with cities and counties across America to combat the foreclosure crisis.
My company, WindCrest Real Estate Group, is now seeking expert REO Brokers to partner with us on the national launch of the ITMO Program. The ITMO Program is a homeownership program under which American Housing Initiative Program (“AHIP”), a company managed by WindCrest Real Estate Group (“WindCrest”), cooperates with local government agencies to acquire and rehabilitate Qualified Properties and to sell those Qualified Properties to qualified homebuyers with secondary financing for homeownership assistance. “Qualified Properties” are distressed properties, including: (1) “Real Estate Owned” (REO) properties that are vacant and foreclosed; (2) properties listed at trustee sale or foreclosure auction; and (3) short sale properties.
